Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union $500 Loan Funding Giveaway Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. SPONSOR:

The sponsor of the $500 Loan Funding Giveaway ("Sweepstakes") is Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union ("MVFCU"), located at 1640 Adams Street, Mankato, Minnesota.

2. ELIGIBILITY:

This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and agents of MVFCU and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.

3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD:

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM Central Time (CT) on July 1, 2024, and ends at 11:59 PM CT on July 31, 2024 ("Sweepstakes Period").

4. HOW TO ENTER:

To enter the Sweepstakes, you must be approved for and take funding of a loan from MVFCU during the Sweepstakes Period. Only one entry per person is allowed, regardless of the number of loans taken.

5. PRIZE:

One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive $500. The prize is non-transferable, and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at MVFCU's sole discretion. MVFCU reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.

6. WINNER SELECTION:

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted on or about August 5, 2024. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION:

The potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email within five (5) business days following the drawing. If the potential winner cannot be contacted, or fails to respond within seven (7) days of the initial notification, the potential winner forfeits the prize, and MVFCU reserves the right to select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of MVFCU, which are final and binding in all respects. MVFCU reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond MVFCU's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by MVFCU in its sole discretion.

9. PUBLICITY:

Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes the winner’s consent to MVFCU's and its agents' use of the winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.

10. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless MVFCU and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of any prize.

11. DISPUTES:

Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Minnesota; and (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and MVFCU in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Minnesota without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Minnesota or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Minnesota.

12. WINNER LIST:

To request the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to 1640 Adams Street, Mankato, Minnesota. Winner List requests will only be accepted after the Sweepstakes Period end date 7/31/2024. For the Winner List, you can also send an email to info@mnvalleyfcu.coop.
