Your credit union is built on members helping members and your vote helps shape our future. Each year, MVFCU members elect volunteers from our community to serve on the Board of Directors. These leaders guide the direction of the credit union and make decisions with you in mind.

Below is a list of the candidates for this election along with some biographical information for each
Melissa Bublitz (incumbent): lives in Janesville; MSU Faculty Resource Specialist and former MVFCU employee as well as Arizona Federal CU. Member MVFCU since 2015.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "My 17 years of credit union work experience helps gives me an insight on operations and also as a director."
 

 

Carol Whitney (incumbent): lives in Mankato; retired Fromm's Auto sales & marketing and retired Mankato part-time Police Officer. Member MVFCU since 2012.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "I enjoy being active and serving the community including MVFCU. I believe in "people helping people."
 

 

Bill Andert: lives in Mankato; retired from Hwy Ag Services, Belle Plaine Co-op, CHS, Heintz Auto and Christensen Farms. Farmed crops and raised livestock. On the Nelson Township Board over 9 years. Member MVFCU since 2022.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "I'm retired now so have more time, like staying engaged and learning. Credit Unions are fascinating."
 

 

John Becker: lives in St. James where he taught school for 39 years and was on their Credit Union board for over 30 years. Now retired. Active volunteering and leading in the community. Joined MVFCU with the Northern Energy FCU merger in 2022.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "I have a passion for helping people and in the banking sector credit unions as cooperatives lead the way."
 

 

Greg Guhlke: lives in Elysian; semi-retired. Years of experience as an accountant, accounting manager and controller at various area companies including Counseling SofSM, Atwood, MTU, Waste Management and Crysteel. Member MVFCU since 2023.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "I've always been fascinated with banking and my background should fit well with helping MVFCU."
 

 

Jayne Pietsch: lives in North Mankato; works at APX Construction; formerly worked in public accounting and before that here at MVFCU in accounting for 9 years and served 11 years on the MVFCU Board. Member MVFCU since 1986.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "I have direct experience with MVFCU and enjoyed serving in both capacities. I feel I can bring value."
 

 

Guy Sederski: lives in Mankato; Pastor of Amboy/Beauford United Methodist Churches. Former CEO of a telecommunications company. Member MVFCU since 2023.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors? "In the past I was a credit union board member and I like volunteering and helping in the community."
