At MVFCU it's our philosophy that your checking account should be straight forward and easy to understand. We offer different accounts, including free checking, each designed to fit the needs of you, the member-owner.
Member Choice Checking Account (S8)
Our most Popular Account. Free checking. This S8, Member Choice Checking Account provides checking account services with no monthly fee and no minimum balance requirement. It also includes:
- Unlimited check writing and withdrawal privileges
- Free Visa Check / ATM Card with no annual fee
- Free electronic or paper statements
- Reserve Line of Credit with no advance fee
Emeritus Club Checking Account (S10)
A special account for members age 55 plus. No minimum balance or monthly fee applies.
- Unlimited check writing and withdrawal privileges.
- Free annual gift pack of 150 Emerald Cut checks.
- Second box of checks free annually with a balance of $10,000 in savings and/or loans.
- Free VISA Check / ATM Card with no annual fee.
- Free photo copy service (some restrictions apply).
- Free fax service (some restrictions apply).
- Free cashiers checks
Second Checking Accounts (S9)
For your convenience, more than one checking account is available under your base member (account) number. All features are the same as the primary draft/checking account described above, plus:
- $100 minimum balance
- $2 monthly service fee if balance falls below $100
- Automatic overdraft protection from shares (reserve line of credit overdraft protection not available)
Second Chance Checking Account (S24)
This account is designed for those with a history of overdrafts or non-sufficient fund charges. There is a $10 monthly service charge associated with this account.
- Free VISA Check / ATM Card with no annual fee.
- Guaranteed $100 Line of Credit
- Free electronic or paper statements
- No check blanks allowed
- Strict overdraft policy
- 2nd Chance Savings Account
- Unpaid Account Closure Repayment Plan (if applicable)
- Required Direct Deposit (if applicable)
Reading the course material and taking the related quiz is required for opening a 2nd Chance Checking Account at Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union.
