Replacement Debit and Credit Cards Are In!
MVFCU has replaced all debit and credit cards that were on Target's compromised card list. A letter informing members whose cards were compromised was sent out in January and February letting members know that they would receive their new cards soon. In February and March those cards have been sent out and members should have received the new card. Here are a few things you may want to know about the card:
- The card number on the front is the same. The expiration date and the 3-digit cvv code on the back have changed and will deter fraud on these cards.
- You need to activate your card as soon as possible. You can call MVFCU at 507-387-3055 and we would be glad to assist you, or you can activate the cards through the phone number on the sticker. The old cards are no longer active and usable as of March 20th, 2014.
- If you have not received your new card and your old card doesn't work, please call the credit union and we can further assist you.
As always, if you notice unusual activity on your accounts and are unsure of what the activity is, you can call the phone number on the back of your debit or credit card to get more information and report fraud, or call MVFCU at 507-387-3055 for more information.
